The traveller came to this place many years ago by way of a friend.

In reality he did not know what he was getting himself into and he remained hidden for 9 years.

In the first 12 months he called 111 (police emergency) thirteen times for trouble that was happening in this park during darkness.

In the photos you will see the back door of this property that is now protected by a wrought iron grill. This was not in place when he first shifted here and approximately four times at night the door had been kicked in by youth roaming the park at night.

Every window has a wooden shutter over it to protect the windows from being broken. In the photo of the front of the house you see the main doors have been covered in sheet metal. This was done as those roaming the park at night were continually forcing these doors open and tripping the alarm system.

Not one man helped the traveller as he stood in this place and he learnt to trust in God Almighty, the Captain of the Hosts for his protection and safety.

In all situations he has faced in this place the Lord has indeed trained his hands for battle so his arms could break a bow of bronze.

It has taken it’s toll in the physical health of the traveller but he now understands very clearly that his weapons of warfare are not carnal but spiritual ones.

Ephesians 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The park used to be full of drug dealers, prostitutes and their clients, glue sniffers and other rebellious and lost men,women and children.

One night in a dream the Lord showed him an angel who had been loosed into the fray after much prayer. This angel stood in the centre of the cricket oval and in his hand he had a rod.

He lifted this rod up into the air and drove it down into the ground and said with a loud voice, enough is enough.

As the traveller stood and watched as the angel drove the rod into the ground ripples went out from the rod right to the edge of the park. Once the ripples had ceased the peace of God descended upon the park.

Both at night and during the day God’s peace reigns and many of the public have commented on this fact by saying “how peaceful this park is now”.

There have been many happenings and trials for the traveller in this place, too many to write down on this page but his Father and provider and protector has always been by his side through it all.

The traveller knowing he has no one in the physical has always in this place when facing danger enquired of the Lord what to do. He then would do only what the Lord told him to do and has been protected because of this obedience.

The police have commented that they do not understand how he has survived in this place alone and told the traveller he is not in his right mind for staying in such a place which is so isolated.

There comes a time though when God wants to move us on and that time has come for the traveller.

He knows not where he is going but has been seeking the Lord’s direction on this and thanking him for what is ahead knowing it will be for the glory of God.

The Lord has had the Traveller write down many words which have been put into an ebook called the Traveller’s Journal.
