I Know You Not
I know you not were the words uttered by the travellers wife when he as lead by the Holy Ghost to go back to her to seek forgiveness and reconciliation.
It had been some two years and six months since the travellers had left behind his wife and two children.
He had known the Lord Jesus for some six months and there came a time where the Holy Ghost told him he must go back to go forward.
During the two years apart from his wife his children had lived with both him and his wife so the lines of contact were still there.
On a certain day that his wife came to pick up the children the traveller asked if he could speak with her alone.
Words lead by the Holy Ghost tumbled from his mouth as his wife sat there. As the words were pouring from within he noticed his wife’s face had a stunned look as it was not something she had expected to come from the traveller.
She had done everything within her power during the first year the traveller had left on his journey to get him to come back home.
The words “please forgive me for all the pain I have caused” and “is there any chance of reconciliation” simply overwhelmed her.
She steadied herself after the traveller had stopped speaking and choose her words, “I do not know you anymore. You have changed so much you are a completely different person“.
At these words came a release for his wife and the traveller for this was to be the final act for their marriage.
Sometime later in the privacy of his home the traveller went before the Lord and thanked the Lord for changing him so much that someone who did not walk with him could see the visible change both within and without.
It bought home to the traveller just how much Christ Jesus can change ones life which becomes plain for all to see.
The pain, the brokeness, the feeling of being lost had all dissipated from within him and he could now go forward in his walk through this earth to bring Christ Jesus to others.
