What to do Now

What to do now were the thoughts that cried out deep within the traveller on seeing his savior give up his spirit on that cross on calvary.

There were people milling around, many still crying out with such anguish it felt his body was being torn apart from within because their cries touched his very soul.

In that moment he did not know what to do. As these words stirred deep within they burst forth from his mouth that he fell flat on his face in the darkness surrounding these three figures nailed upon their crosses.

He was sobbing uncontrollably as he had heard the words this man had spoken. He had seen the miracles this man had performed, the lives he had changed and knew beyond doubt that this was the Son of God who came to save the world.

John 12:47: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

The travellers mind was racing, why would men do so a thing? Did they not understand who this man was and why he came to earth?

As he was laying there on the ground a hand touched him gently and looking up with tears freely flowing from his face, he seen it was one of the men that he had seen around that camp fire the night he came to the cross roads.

This mans face was shining brightly even though streams of tears were also falling from his face. The words he spoke were gentle and in a loving tone, just like this Christ Jesus he had meet and who had spoken to him.

He asked if the traveller would like to come and stay with them in this city which seemed so full of hate, death and destruction.

At that very moment the answer to his question, what to do now seemed to have been answered as though his heart felt cry had been heard by the Father in Heaven.

As he knew this man to be one of the Christ’s disciples he had no hesitation in replying with a loud yes which surprised even himself.

Rising to his feet this man and others who had come across to him consoled each other in the grief that was pouring out from them in this moment of time but he had the answer to his question, what to do now.

He would stay with these men and women until he was lead otherwise as they had the same love, healing and freedom spoken in their lives which shone brightly from them.

He knew he could not go back into the darkness of the world but only forward in the light that shined through this Christ Jesus and His disciples.
