Brian Doerksen
Brian Doerksen is a songwriter, recording artist, author, conference speaker and pastor. Born and raised on the west coast of Canada in Abbotsford B.C., he now lives with his family (wife of 25 years Joyce and their 4 youngest children) in the same home that he spent his childhood in.
His songs known around the world in churches of all kinds include ‘Come, now is the time to worship’, ‘Hope of the nations’, ‘Faithful One’, ‘Refiner’s Fire’, ‘Hallelujah (Your love is amazing)’, ‘Holy God’ & ‘The river’.
Brian Doerksen comes up with some awesome songs and he is a blessing to all the Lord’s people for he helps us express our love to God.

Why Brian Doerksen isn't better known in this country is beyond me. It's lucky our church music director has a broad reach. we do all the first five tracks, track 10 and 14. "to-day," "Everlasting," and "The River," are my favorites on this album "the River," especially, puts me in mind of Michael Martin Murphey at his best. What a treatment he could give this one if he wanted to. If I knew there was music like this back in the '80s, I might not have wobbled down the road to destruction for as long as I did before seeing how far out of bounds I was wobbling. This is one of the CD's I play when I need to remind myself to keep to the straight and narrow, and not do what's easier, and deadlier.
