This album is absolutely the best. God has used it in many ways for healing people both young and old from the "father wound".

Brian Doerksen ministry and his worship touches hearts. In particular, this worship in this dvd touches the very core of my heart. This dvd is a must have for those desiring renewal and refreshment by God's own word and spirit. The love of God is well illustrated in this video. Thank you Brian for communicating the word of God so passionately.

Why Brian Doerksen isn't better known in this country is beyond me. It's lucky our church music director has a broad reach. we do all the first five tracks, track 10 and 14. "to-day," "Everlasting," and "The River," are my favorites on this album "the River," especially, puts me in mind of Michael Martin Murphey at his best. What a treatment he could give this one if he wanted to. If I knew there was music like this back in the '80s, I might not have wobbled down the road to destruction for as long as I did before seeing how far out of bounds I was wobbling. This is one of the CD's I play when I need to remind myself to keep to the straight and narrow, and not do what's easier, and deadlier.

Brian Doerksen is famous for his many worship albums and original worship songs (e.g. 'Come, Now is the Time to Worship') sung the world over. The songs on this album keep up his high standard. But it is hard to imagine a more powerful, evocative, and beautiful worship song than the title piece, 'Holy God.' In 'Holy God' there is both what sounds like an English boys' choir and Doerksen's own vocals, alternating at times, at other times in unison. The effect is something like hearing a man singing and playing together with an angelic choir. And again, what they sing is just incredibly beautiful. Truly inspired spiritual music.

As soon as I got the CD I started playing it, over & over. It has a wonderful message of praise to our Father sewn in many styles of music.

Brian Doerkson is on the leading edge of modern worship music. That is not to say that older worship music is not good. It is. And Doerkson uses some of the oldest songs (A Mighty Fortress) in his arrangements and writings, in his worship.
