Mark Lowry
Mark Lowry: God's Christian music's funny-man.
Mary Did You Know?
Quite possibly the greatest song ever written. Sung by a truly inspired master. 5 Stars doesn't do this song justice. I rate it ALL THE STARS IN THE UNIVERSE!
Remotely Controlled
Mark Lowry is a genius at packing in side-splitting humor with genuine passion for Jesus and a clear-cut gospel message. This video also has the powerful song written by Mark Lowry, "Mary Did You Know?" Well known artists such as Clay Crosse, Bill Gaither, Carman, Newsboys, etc. show up in some strange places! The entire video is very well done, and worth watching again and again and again...

Mark Lowry on Broadway
Mark Lowry on Broadway makes you laugh and makes you feel good about being a Christian. The routine on the atheist really expressed the way I feel. "It takes a lot of faith to be an atheist." This is expressing your faith in the best way imagineable - looking at yourself and others with humor and understanding.
My First Comedy Video
This comedy video is so funny and entertaining. You will never get tired of watching it
Out of Control
Mark Lowry can make you laugh louder than most of what you're likely to hear on The Comedy Channel and make you think deeper than much of what you're likely to hear in church. With his fresh and wacky style, Lowry's humor shines light on the important aspects of a life of faith.
Best of Mark Lowry 2
This CD is a collection of some of Mark Lowry's best songs. Some he sings by himself and others are with the Gaither Vocal Band or with the Gaither Homecoming Group. This CD will have tapping your toes and singing along. His love for Jesus Christ is evident in the choice of songs. His rich voice rings with his convictions. God truly blessed this man with voice and wit.
Mark Lowry Goes to Hollywood
Don't be fooled by the "Mark Lowry Goes to Hollywood" title. This video doesn't have the production numbers or dancers found in the "Mark Lowry On Broadway" video. Instead, it takes a more subdued, primarily worshipful, approach. Its main goal is to present the message that Mark Lowry and guest artists LordSong and Stan Whitmire have taken around the country for the past couple of years: that God is a loving God who is crazy about us. The package this message is put in is a first rate presentation, with fine performances from the aforementioned LordSong and Whitmire, plus Michael English, Reggie Smith, the Isaacs, a guest appearance by Bill Gaither and the inspiring "ReMarkable choir" (actually the Revival Tabernacle choir of San Diego, featuring "Exalting Him" contest winner Karen Harding).
Life Gets Loud
Musical justice was finally done when Mark Lowry won a long overdue and deserved Dove Award strictly as a vocalist for his orchestrated hymns album "I Love To Tell The Story". On his recent release, "Life Gets Loud", he continues to demonstrate those award-winning qualities: pure, emotive singing with savvy song choices. "Thank My Savior" and "I Wanna Go There" with backing vocals by LordSong, Chip Davis and producer Michael Sykes, should find a comfortable home with Southern Gospel fans. But the true goose-bump moments come when Mark does what he does best: taking the lyrics and becoming transparent, just him and his voice proving him still as one of the best communicators in song. Highlights in this category are the soulful Scooter Simmons/Steve Christopher song "Over My Head"; the hauntingly beautiful "The Inviting Christ", by Kyle Matthews and Chad Cates; and two songs that could fare well in secular markets, the Suzanne Jennings/Michael Sykes song "When The Sun Comes Out Again" and "Nothin' To Prove", written by Dan Dean.
Some Things Never Change
It's hard to say what Mark Lowry is best known for. His comedy? His singing? Writing the lyrics to "Mary Did You Know?" But this CD reminds us of what a fine singer Mark Lowry is. By far my favorite song on this collection is "Isn't It Amazing," a wonderful song of worship and praise. Mark harmonizes with his friends on "I Call Him Lord" and "I Will Trade the old Cross for a Crown" and the results are lovely. Lowry's humorous side comes through on "Too Big to Miss," his own composition about the story of David and Goliath. "Some Things Never Change" closes with "Make it Real," a plaintive song about a person searching for the truth about God.
Be the Miracle
Mark Lowry's latest effort "Be the Miracle" continues the successful formula of stylistically diverse, meaningful songs and superb singing found on "Some Things Never Change." "Be The Miracle" proves to be another showcase for Mark's formidable vocal assets. He has one of the purest, smoothest and emotive voices across any genre and his lyrical phrasing is, in my opinion, second to none among comparable singers out there. One of the best examples of the latter here is on "Whatcha Need" (first single off the album).
Best of Mark Lowry & Bill Gaither, Vol. 2
Mark Lowry can take you from laughter to tears in a flash of an eylash. His voice is not only beautiful but it too can be humorus. I would recommend this DVD as a gift or to have in your library .
The Best of Mark Lowry & Bill Gaither: Volume One
Mark Lowry is a very clever comedian, as well as an excellent singer, and this DVD focuses on his funny routines during the thirteen years he spent with the Gaither Vocal Band. The way it is presented, is that Mark and Bill Gaither are shown in a relaxed setting, as they sit and talk about the clips they show from the many Homecoming Series concerts around the country, as well as one in Ireland, and a short piece in England. It also includes some terrific music with the comedy, and my favorites are the two versions of "I'm Gonna Keep On", with Bill trying to sing the song while he is interrupted by bird calls and Mark's mischief; it's a terrific combination of wonderful music and harmonies, and at the same time totally hilarious.
Mouth in Motion
This comedy album pretty much follows standard Mark Lowry fare, in which the first three-quarters are pure comedy, with the last quarter of the album, while still funny at times, contains his message. For non-Christians, this will be enough to avoid the album all-together. Even many Christians will avoid it, or at least the "message" part of the album. This is a shame, since Mark really has something to say.
